Children once to Israel's King
Did their sweet hosannas bring;
Children now who love the Lord,
Join to praise with one accord.

He who reigns in heaven above,
Once for sinners died in love;
Came from off the throne on high,
On the cross to bleed and die.

Life eternal He can give,
'Tis in Him believers live;
He upholds them by His hand,
And can make the feeble stand.

What a day of joy 'twill be,
When His glorious face they see!
When His image they will bear,
And His throne of glory share!

Till that day the Lord will keep
Safely all His lambs and sheep;
He will guard them night and day,
Keep them walking in His way.
